The ‘hugo’ was created in Italy’s Northern province known as south Tyrol, by bartender Roland Gruber who’s idea was to add the aroma to a classic glass of Prosecco using fresh mint & Melissa cordial which is only locally produced in small quantities. Now it is traditionally St Germain Elderflower combined with Prosecco, fresh mint & topped up with Prosecco.
